Buddys Bar and others
Seems to be that Hua Hin becomes the successor of Pataya. Many signs point in that direction.
Good bar is Buddy's in a small soi parallel to Naredamri Road (from Damnoen Kasem Road turn into
Naredamri than the second soi left and the first one right again) there you find the open to all sides tiny "Buddy's Bar".

On weekends also some girls hangout there (test your luck). Service is friendly (when the female boss is there) Mekong goes for 80 baht, "nam kaeng" extra. Nothing realy special, but a nice hideout compared to all that Heidi's and Pizza joints mushrooming around.
I also recommend the bar in the Muang Thai stadium in Phunsuk R. (very close to Damnoen Kasem R.) Very friendly. Booze on demand. That means when you order a drink, they run to the next shop, buy the bottle there, and sell it to you with a little profit. Thai boxing on weekends.

The best noodle soup in town you find at the corner of Phusuk and Dechanuchit R. A thin chinese man and his well fed wife run this foodstall.Ask vor the big noodles.
Always good for a chat with some locals (old teethless fishermen, schoolkids or business-women) One price for all. His soup is so good and so cheap it makes you cry. The every-mornig-must. Bangkok post some houses down.( don't tell me you read The Nation).

I met an old German there. When he started to cry I asked him for his problem. He's now 68 years old and since 40 years married to the same woman. He alwas thought that he loved his wife. Now he had fallen in love to thai woman. She's so friendly, clean, poor, sexy he raves over her. (She must be the reincarnation of Cinderella and Pam Anderson in one body.)
He wanted to buy here an appartment, (no problem for a retired german pharmacist). I should see her, how poor she is, today she's praying with here sister in Petchaburi. You could eat from the ground of here corrugated iron hut, so clean she is.

"I have to speak with my wife in Germany. We have to divorce. I have to tell her the truth, that I am in love with a thai singer from a karaoke bar. She's allredy over 30, and has a poor ill mother with nobody to support her.
I asked him if she still was a virgin too, when they did it the first time. When he denied, I gave him the advice to leave her a solid amount of money, maybe 10% of what an appartment in Hua Hin would cost as a "morning gift", than leave to buy some cigarettes, and never come back. That would help her over the first pain of loosing him.
Another case for tit.(this is Thailand)
